Radhika Dhami, 23, of Dakhakwadi had died on Tuesday night after she underwent a caesarean delivery.
Her relatives have blamed the hospital negligence for her death. They said Radhika was operated without adequate preparations.
“Even an oxygen cylinder was not on standby when she was operated. And after she had died in the operation room, the hospital tried to hide its negligence by trying to refer her to another hospital as if she was still alive,” said a relative of Radhika.
Security personnel were deployed at the hospital to prevent any untoward incidents.
Meanwhile, the hospital refused to comment on the issue.
A District Health Office representative said the office was trying to arrange a meeting between the woman’s relatives and the hospital officials to settle the issue.
