Bhusal, Tumbahangphe in Deputy Speaker race

The main opposition Nepali Congress has fielded Pushpa Bhusal while the left alliance has made Shivamaya Tumbahangphe as its candidate for the Deputy Speaker election scheduled for Friday.
Bhusal reached the Parliament premises at around 12:45 pm while Tumbahangphe was there at 1:30 pm on Thursday to file the nominations. Bhusal’s candidacy was proposed by Dila Sangraula and seconded by Devendra Raj Kandel.
Tumba-hangphe’s candidacy was proposed by Dev Gurung and seconded by Rabindra Adhikari.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has scheduled the election at 1:00 pm.
CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara was elected Speaker on March 10.
