PM Oli wins vote of confidence with three-fourth majority
Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has won the vote of confidence with a three-fourth majority on Sunday, garnering 208 votes in the 275-member strong House of Representatives (HoR).

Only 60 votes were cast against Oli when Speker Krishna Bahadur Mahara tabled the motion of vote of confidence at the parliament today.
The main opposition Nepali Congress cast its votes against the vote of confidence while Baburam Bhattarai, coordinator of Naya Shakti Party which has only one seat in the House of Representatives remained absent during the process.
Left alliance members—CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Centre)—,Rastriya Janamorcha, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, independent lawmaker Chakka Bahadur Lama voted in favour of PM Oli.
According to the constitution, the Prime Minister has to get the vote of confidence from the House within 30 days after the appointment.
Oli secured the vote of confidence 25 days after his appointment as the executive head of the country. President Bidya Devi Bhandari on February 15 had appointed CPN-UML Chairman as the PM of the country.
