Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bhimsen Das Pradhan won the federal parliament election in Kathmandu-6. He defeated his nearest rival Jhakku Subedi, of the left alliance (Maoist Centre) by a margin of 1300 votes.
Shrestha secured 16785 votes, while Subedi got 15485 votes. Pradhan was trailing Subedi in the early counting.
