The two elections will be held in Baglung and other 31 districts in the first phase on November 26.
The Election Commission has set 103 polling stations and 199 voting centres in the district which has two constituencies and 167, 282 registered voters.
Chief District Officer Bishnu Bahadur Thapa said the local administration will manage the required security for the voters as well as voting stations. “Seventeen places of the district have been listed as highly sensitive areas based on the disputes, clashes and other incidents that had occurred in the past elections,” said CDO Thapa.
The DAO has also listed the high mountainous areas as sensitive where there could be snowfall when the district goes to vote on November 26.
“We have made arrangements for helicopters to reach those areas in case of emergency,” said CDO Thapa.

SP Chandra Kuber Khapung said transporting election materials to Dhorpatan, Ranasinghkiteni, Tarakhola, Badighadh, Taman and Nisikhola among other places will be challenging due to their geographical remoteness. These areas have been categorised as sensitive, said police.
The DPO is imparting training to 881 temporary cops who have been hired for the upcoming elections.
As many as 1,500 officials will be deployed for the polls, according to the District Election Office.
