Three persons, who were under regular treatment, died of sickle cell anaemia in the district.
A total of 98 people suffering from this disease are on regular treatment in the district. In-charge of Blood Transfusion Centre, Ghorahi, Dilip Neupane said that the family members of the deceased informed about the death of the patients.
Of the deceased, two were male and a woman. Information Officer of the Rapti Sub-Regional Hospital, Ahamad Maruk Khan, said that the disease is found on most of the people from Tharu community and 98 people are undergoing treatment at the Hospital. RSS
