CPN-UML candidates have emerged victorious in Jeetpur Simaraha Sub-Metropolitan, Bara.

CPN-UML Candidate Krishna Poudel has been elected as mayor with 14,868 votes and CPN-UML’s Saraswati Chaudhary has been elected deputy mayor securing 14,459 votes. Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Krishna Brat Singh secured 12,043 votes and deputy mayor candidate Narayani Rayamajhi secured 12,465 votes.

In Mahagadimai Municipality, Nepali Congress candidates Upendra Yadav and Tara Devi Kanu have been elected as mayor and deputy mayor respectively.

According to election officer, Khadananda Gautam, Yadav secured 5765 votes and Kanu secured 5375 votes. Yadav’s closest contender, Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum’s mayoral candidate Sharada Shankar Jayaswal garnered 5215 votes, while CPN-Maoist deputy mayoral candidate Mamata Sah secured 4775 votes.
