A meeting of RJP Presidium and Parliamentary Party held on Monday also urged party leaders, cadres and supporters to provide cash and goods for the victims.
The meeting also demanded that the government should declare the affected area flood-hit zone and make emergency disaster arrangement at the earliest.
All industrialists, entrepreneurs, various organisations, foreign and domestic and donors have also been requested for help, stated a press release issued by RJP-Nepal coordinator Mahanta Thakur.
Likewise, the Hotel Association Nepal has decided to provide Rs 500,000 for flood victims.
An emergency meeting of office bearers of the HAN also decided that it would actively engage in rescue operation and relief distribution.
It has also launched a hotline service, which remains open 24 hours, and one can contact at 9851031495 and 9851191827 for the rescue of tourists trapped due to flooding in locations like Sunsari, Morang, Chitwan, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Banke and Bardiya. RSS
