A bridge over Gandhaili River along the East West Highway in Sonari Rural Municipality in Banke district has caved in due to heavy rainfall on Sunday.
Hundreds of vehicles have been stranded after the bridge caved in today.
Another bridge over Paruwa River has also collapsed on Saturday affecting the traffic.
DSP Suresh Kafle informed their attempts to open diversion was obstructed by continuous rainfall.
