Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the concerned authorities to complete the Melamchi Drinking Water Project, one of the most eagerly awaited infrastructure projects of the country, at the earliest.
PM Deuba, who had reached Melamchi to inspect the project on Wednesday, directed the project officials to complete the work as soon as possible.
“It was like spreading a rumour to bring the water in Kathmandu since 2011,” he said, adding, “The government is ready to provide any kind of assistance like equipment, source and money for the project.”
He inspected the intake dam and tunnel among other infrastructures.
