Four persons have been buried and four others injured in a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall occurred at Uttargaya Rural Municipality-4, Rasuwa on Sunday night.

Dharma Bahadur Thapa Magar, 75, his daughter-in-law Muna Thapa Magar, 30, grandson Rabin, 4, and another Bhakta Kumar Nagarkoti were buried as the landslide fell on the house at 9pm on Sunday night while they were sleeping, according to a neighbor and relative Shyam Bahadur Thapa Magar.

A team of security personnel have been deployed for search and rescue in the area. The search mission commenced only on Monday morning, as the team was unable to conduct the search during night time.

Around 28 houses are said to be at high risk of landslide in the area.
