Nawalparasi
Hundreds of houses have been inundated and hectors of paddy fields have been destroyed as rainfall continues to accumulate across the border areas of Nawalparasi district due to lack of drainage system.
The flood waters of Jharahi and Khajura Rivers have entered human settlement and destroyed farmland at Harpur, Maheshpur, Mhujawa, Baidauli, Somani, Kushma and Sahanai villages near district headquarters Parasi.

As a result of the inundation, vehicular movement along the Maheshpur-Parasi road section, Semari-Belaspur road section and Jharahi river road section have been obstructed.
Meanwhile, the local administration has urged the flood affected to stay safe and alert.
