Policeman who threw away bomb felicitated

Former Nepal Police Pariwar Manch, London, felicitated Rana with Rs51, 000 cash at Police Headquarters, Naxal.
The Pariwar Manch advisor Shivaji Shrestha congratulated Rana with cash and certificate.
IGP Prakash Aryal praised the Former Nepal Police Pariwar Manch for their contribution to Nepal despite living in foreign land. He also applauded the bravery of Rana.
The second phase of locals polls were going on at the Adharbhoot Lower Secondary School in Tulsipur-3 when a bomb was hurdled into the polling centre on June 28.
The then Head Constable Rana, however, caught the bomb and threw it almost 50 metres away, saving the lives of hundreds of people who were queuing up to cast their vote.
Lauding the effort of Rana, Nepal Police, under the direction of Home Minister Janardan Sharma, had promoted him to the post of ASI on July 20.
