Nepali man dies in Qatar accident

A Nepali man died in an accident in Qatar. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Lilajung Gurung of Dordi Rural Municipality -9, Lamjung.
Gurung was working as a driver for the past six years in Alfutoha Transport Company in Qatar. He died in a road accident on July 30, informed Qatar-based Lamjung Society Chairman Bishnulal Shrestha.
Gurung was driving towards Doha border to ferry sand when his vehicle hit a truck coming from the opposite direction. Gurung sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot, Shrestha quoted local police and authorities.
It is learnt that Gurung’s body is being kept at Doha-based Hamad Hospital and process is underway to dispatch his body to Nepal.
Shrestha said that the company where Gurung was working has assured of all the facilities and insurance money to the victim’s family.
Gurung is survived by a wife, one son and a daughter. They are currently living in Besisahar, Lamjung.
