Majority of the market area in Nawalparasi has been inundated following incessant rainfall since Wednesday afternoon.

The market area including district headquarters Parasi, Gaidakot, Daldale, Kawasoti, Danda, Chormara, bardaghat, Bhumahi, Sunwal among other major market places get flooded during heavy rains as there is no drainage system alongside the East-West highway.

Vehicular movement along the highway was disrupted briefly on Thursday morning after the flood-swollen river gushed to the edge of London Bridge in Bardaghat in the district.

The transport services have resumed as the flood waters receded.
