Landslide buries jeep in Dhading, obstructs Prithvi Highway

A landslide triggered by incessant rain that occurred at Tinggrang Jogimara of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10, Dhading has buried a Bolero jeep at 6am on Thursday.

DSP Dipendra Panjiyar Tharu of the District Police informed that there have been no human casualties. The registration number is yet to be ascertained as efforts are underway to unearth the jeep from the landslide debris.

The landslide along with debris from a limestone mine of the Himal Cement Factory has obstructed vehicular movement along the Prithvi Highway.

Meanwhile, Gajuri Area Police Office in charge Barun Bahadur Singh informed that vehicles en route from Kathmandu have been halted at Gajuri and Malekhu to avoid further traffic congestion.
