Govt promotes 11 DIGs to AIG post

The government on Thursday appointed 11 Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
A Cabinet meeting held today took the decision to this effect, said Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Basnet.
DIGs Bam Bahadur Bhandari, Jay Bahadur Chand, Devendra Subedi, Pashupati Upadhayay, Kesari Raj Ghimire, Madhav Prasad Joshi, Bijay Lal Kayastha, Kamal Singh Bam, Mingmar Lama, Rana Bahadur Chand and Bijay Kumar Bhatta have been promoted to the post of AIG.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on July 14 had recommended for the promotion of 11 DIG's to the post of AIG after the cabinet on July 10 had approved 11 AIG posts.
