On the night of August 1, Bishwokarma himself made a surprise call to his employer Miya and informed about being kidnapped. According to Miya, he was told over phone to appear at Inaruwa at 12 midnight with Rs 200,000.
“I received a phone call from Pratiman’s number at around 9-10pm. The caller was Pratiman himself and told me that he was kidnapped by a group of four people and was taken in a red van to Inaruwa,” said Miya.
Hajmul further said that when Bishwokarma called him for the second time he said that he had no idea about his whereabouts as the kidnapper had blindfolded him after coming to Inaruwa.
Bishwokarma’s wife Sanu Bishwokarma said that her husband’s number was still on although he was still in the captive of kidnappers.
