The celebration of the annual festival of Gurungs, Tamu Lhosar, has begun in Lamjung.
People from Gurung community celebrate Tamu Lhosar every year on Poush 15 (Nepali calendar). Tanghing’s residents had organised a formal program in Chhapa village on Friday and Saturday to mark Lhosar. People from Ghermu, Khudi, Bahundanda among others also participated in the program. One has to make 3 hours ride and 1.5 hours walk to reach Chhapa village from Beshisahar.
The Minister for Water Resources, Ram Bahadur Gurung, also attended the program.
