Locals in Siraha on Wednesday formed a human chain along the East-West highway in support of the ongoing Madhes agitation and to exert pressure on the government.
The locals including students, teachers, businesspersons, civil society members, cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha and people from various walks of life formed a 45-km long human chain from 8:30 to 9:30 this morning.

The participants of the human chain displayed placards that read “Stop violence”, “Guarantee Human Rights,” “Secure Right to Education,” “Establish Rights of Madhes,” among other slogans.
