Locals of Kakadbhitta in Jhapa district staged protest against the ‘unofficial blockade’ imposed by India at the bordering town on Monday.
As part of the protest programme held at the initiatives of Nationalist Citizen Forum, the locals began a rally from Hanuman Temple and marched around the bordering town.
The protestors also chanted slogans against India at Mechi Bridge along Nepal-India border.
India has been restricting the smooth movement of Nepal-bound freights and goods in the name of security since last Wednesday. However, according to think-tanks India imposed ‘undeclared blockade’ to express its dissatisfaction at the newly promulgated constitution.
