The award, which carries a purse of Rs 11,111, is given by Ganesh-Ujjwan Memorial Trust each year to three journalists who write in the field of law and human rights.
Similarly, Bal Kumar Nepal of Annapurna Post and Pabitra Sunwar of Nagarik Daily are the other scribes honoured with the award at the programme.
Ganesh-Ujjwan Memorial Trust is the name of two brothers Ganesh and Ujjwan Shrestha, who were killed by rebels during conflict 18 years ago.
