Bullion prices rebound after early-week dip
Gold and silver recover from sharp declines to close the week higher.Pritam Bhattarai
The domestic bullion market witnessed fluctuations this week, with both gold and silver prices falling sharply early on before staging a strong recovery by the end of the week on April 14.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold opened the week on April 8 at Rs299,000 per tola. Prices, however, dropped the following day by Rs4,300 to reach a weekly low of Rs294,700 on April 9.
The downturn proved short-lived as gold began to climb steadily from April 10. By the close of trading on April 14, the price rebounded to Rs299,800 per tola—up Rs800 from the week’s opening rate.
Silver followed a similar trend. It started the week at Rs5,025 per tola before declining to Rs4,875 on April 9. The metal later regained momentum, closing the week at Rs5,065 per tola on April 14.
