KL Dugar Group has provided 17 tonnes of food supplies to families affected by the floods in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

The group handed over the first phase of relief materials to the District Coordination Committee office in Bidur for distribution to flood-affected families. The handover took place in the presence of Homnath Dahal, an administrative officer at the District Administration Office.

The relief package includes rice, lentils, salt, wheat flour, edible oil, biscuits, beaten rice and various spices.

The group said the assistance was aimed at helping families whose livelihoods have been disrupted by the disaster and who are facing difficulties securing basic necessities.

It said damage to roads and transportation problems caused by the rains and floods had made it difficult to deliver relief supplies to affected areas. The group plans to provide additional assistance in phases, it said.

KL Dugar Group said supporting affected families and providing humanitarian assistance during the crisis was part of its social responsibility. It also expressed sympathy for the families affected by the disaster and said it would continue its support and humanitarian cooperation.
