Nepse rises by 13.51 points on Tuesday
Turnover reaches Rs12.03 billion as share prices of 132 companies advance.Post Report
The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index increased by 13.51 points on Tuesday, marking a modest gain in the market.
The benchmark index rose by 0.48 percent to close at 2,812.34 points.
Of the companies traded during the day, the share prices of 132 firms increased, while 113 declined. The share prices of 17 companies remained unchanged.
Despite the overall rise in the index, several sectoral sub-indices posted losses. The finance, hotels and tourism, life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance, others, and trading subgroups all declined.
A total of 34,852,760 shares were traded through 106,140 transactions during the day.
The total turnover stood at Rs12.03 billion.
During Tuesday’s trading, the share prices of Reliance Spinning Mills and Solu Hydropower surged by 10 percent each, triggering the circuit breaker limit.
