Nepse index rises 4.45 points
Turnover reaches Rs14.32 billion as 124 companies post gains.Post Report
The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index rose by 4.45 points on Sunday, posting a modest gain after recent fluctuations in the market.
The index increased by 0.15 percent to close at 2,824.90 points.
Of the companies traded during the day, share prices of 124 firms increased, while 130 declined. The share prices of nine companies remained unchanged.
Sectoral performance was mixed. Sub-indices of hotel and tourism, investment, life insurance and mutual funds declined, while trading, development banks, banking, and manufacturing and processing sectors recorded gains.
A total of 39,549,033 shares were traded through 124,490 transactions during the day.
The total turnover stood at Rs14.32 billion.
During Sunday’s trading, the share price of Solukhola Hydropower Company Limited surged by 10 percent, triggering the circuit breaker limit.
