Nepse rebounds after four-day slide

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index rebounded on Thursday, gaining 8.97 points to close at 2,671.07, snapping a four-day losing streak that had persisted since Sunday.
The benchmark index rose by 0.33 percent compared to Wednesday’s close.
A total of 27,780,554 shares of various companies were traded through 106,018 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs11.10 billion. The daily turnover increased significantly from Rs8.69 billion recorded on Wednesday.
Out of the traded companies, share prices of 139 advanced, while 115 declined. The prices of six companies remained unchanged.
Among the 13 sub-indices, hotels and tourism, microfinance, non-life insurance, others and trading recorded declines.
