Nepse falls for third straight day, trading volume shrinks

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index witnessed its losing streak for a third consecutive day on Tuesday, shedding 10 points to close at 2,662.
With the latest decline, the benchmark index has lost a total of 47 points over the past three trading days. The downturn was accompanied by a continued drop in trading volume.
The market, which had recorded turnovers of around Rs 11 billion in recent days, saw transactions worth Rs 10.77 billion on Monday, followed by a sharper fall to Rs 8.61 billion on Tuesday.
Out of 324 traded instruments, the prices of 106 increased, while 222 declined. The remaining securities remained unchanged.
