The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index rose by 5.32 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,655. It had increased by 50 points on Monday.
Despite the gain in the index, overall market turnover fell to Rs5.82 billion, down from the previous day’s Rs7.03 billion.
During the session, share prices of 122 listed companies advanced, 125 declined and 10 remained unchanged. The market experienced mild fluctuations throughout the day but ultimately closed in positive territory.
Three companies—Jhapa Energy, Sagar Distillery and Srinagar Agritech—hit the 10 percent positive circuit.
Bandipur Cable Car, Himalayan Reinsurance, Ngadi Group, Union Hydropower and Shivam Cements were among the most actively traded stocks of the day.
