The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gained 50.44 points on Monday, closing at 2,650.66—an increase of 1.94 percent compared to the previous trading day. The market had risen by nearly 40 points on Sunday.
Of the companies whose shares were traded, prices of 215 advanced, 37 declined and six remained unchanged, contributing to the benchmark’s double-digit rise.
A total of 14.20 million shares were traded 79,714 times, generating a turnover of Rs7.03 billion—up from Sunday’s Rs6.28 billion.
All 13 sub-indices posted gains, supporting the overall rise in the benchmark index.
