The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) inched up by 2.62 points on Thursday, closing at 2,788.36.
The benchmark index rose slightly compared to the previous day, supported by gains in the manufacturing and processing, development bank, investment, others, and trading sub-indices. Most other sectors, however, recorded declines.
Out of the traded companies, 108 posted gains, while 141 suffered losses.
A total of 19.26 million shares changed hands in 76,542 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs7.46 billion—higher than Wednesday’s Rs6.16 billion.
