NEPSE dips by 9.08 points, turnover exceeds Rs12.5 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 9.08 points on Thursday, closing at 2,655.38. The benchmark index slipped by 0.34 percent compared to the previous trading day.
After two days of double-digit gains on Monday and Tuesday, NEPSE reversed direction on Wednesday with a double-digit fall, continuing the downward trend into Thursday.
Out of the companies traded, share prices of 99 rose while 149 declined.
The market witnessed 102,895 transactions, with 28,607,685 shares changing hands. The total turnover reached Rs12.51 billion, higher than the previous session.
Turnover increased despite the drop in the overall index.
