NEPSE drops by 5.99 points as most sectors decline
Benchmark index dips 0.22 percent on Thursday with turnover nearing Rs8 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 5.99 points on Thursday, closing at 2,640.96. This represents a 0.22 percent decline from the previous trading session, reflecting a generally subdued market sentiment.
A total of 17,108,809 shares were traded through 77,670 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs7.97 billion.
Out of the traded companies, 94 saw an increase in their share prices, while 153 declined. One company’s share price remained unchanged.
Among the trading subgroups, only Hydropower and Investment avoided losses. All other sectors, including Banking, Finance, and Manufacturing, ended in negative territory, indicating a broad-based downturn.
