NEPSE sheds 11.53 points amid continued downward trend
Market index drops by 0.47 percent; daily turnover declines to Rs10.2 billion.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 11.53 points on Sunday, closing at 2,649.11. The decline, representing a 0.47 percent drop, follows a similar downward trend seen in the previous session.
Investor sentiment remained cautious as sellers continued to outweigh buyers across most sectors. Of the traded stocks, prices of 82 companies rose, while 164 declined, indicating broad-based selling pressure.
Market turnover also decreased, with investors transacting over 24 million shares in 88,955 deals. The total trading value stood at Rs10.2 billion, down from Rs11.65 billion recorded in the previous session on Thursday.
Among the 13 sub-indices, only development banks, hotels and tourism, life insurance, non-life insurance, and the trading group posted gains. All other sectoral indices ended in the red, contributing to the overall decline in the benchmark index.
