NEPSE drops by over 14 points despite renewed interest in finance sector

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined on Monday, with the benchmark index falling by 14.53 points to settle at 2,647.07 points.
The total turnover also decreased, with Rs8.91 billion worth of shares traded—down from Rs10.87 billion in the previous session.
A total of 78 companies witnessed an increase in share prices, while 167 experienced a decline.
Despite the overall market downturn, the finance sector attracted renewed investor interest, posting the highest sectoral gain of 1.40 percent. The trading sector followed with a 0.42 percent rise.
All other sectors recorded losses.
