NEPSE index climbs to 2700 points, trading volume Rs5.44 billion
166 companies saw their stock prices increase, while 78 companies experienced a decline in value on Wednesday.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 23.86 points on Wednesday, reaching 2700.04 points, a 0.89 percent increase. This marks a recovery from a decline of 16.95 points on Tuesday, which had brought the index down to 2676.17 points.
In total, 166 companies saw their stock prices increase, while 78 companies experienced a decline in value. The total trading volume amounted to Rs5.44 billion, with 53,884 transactions recorded. A total of 10,442,683 shares were traded throughout the day.
All sub-groups, except for the production and processing sector and the life insurance sector, saw gains. The production and processing sector dropped by 103.76 points, while the life insurance sector fell by 31.83 points. Among the sectors that performed well, the trade sector saw the biggest gain, rising by 423.29 points.
