NEPSE index climbs by 29.82 points, trading volume reaches Rs7.56 billion
222 companies report gains in their stock prices, while 22 companies experience declines on Sunday.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 29.82 points on Sunday, closing at 2,693.12 points, marking a 1.11 percent increase from the previous trading day. This follows a positive trend seen in recent sessions.
On the first trading day of the week, 222 companies saw their stock prices rise, while 22 companies experienced a drop in their prices.
The total trading volume amounted to Rs7.56 billion, with 76,354 transactions made, indicating a healthy level of market activity. A total of 15,572,862 shares were traded during the session.
All 13 subgroups on the NEPSE index saw an increase, contributing to the overall positive performance of the market.
Among the top performers were shares of Joshi Hydropower, Dordi Khola Hydroelectricity, Kumari Sabal Yojana, Tehrathum Power Company, and Guras Microfinance. On the other hand, shares of Prabhu Smart Fund, Kuthali Bukhari Small Hydropower, Sayapatri Hydropower, and Bottlers Nepal (Balaju), among others, saw declines.
