The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 26.10 points today, closing at 2,640.78 points, a 0.99 percent rise. This marks the first increase in six trading days, as market activity saw a noticeable uptick.

A total of 210 companies saw an increase in their stock values, while 33 companies experienced declines. The overall trading volume reached Rs4.48 billion, with 97,39,738 shares being exchanged over 58,235 transactions.

Every sub-group on the NEPSE index saw gains today, with the life insurance sector leading the charge, up by 215.21 points. The finance sector also performed well, rising by 93.17 points, while the hotel and tourism sector saw an increase of 74.49 points. Other significant gains were made in the non-life insurance sector, which rose by 74.47 points.
