AVXRG Summit 2023 concludes

AVXRG Creative Services Nepal, an upcoming animation company, organised a programme on career opportunities in the media and entertainment sector on Thursday in Kathmandu.
Professor Dr Subarna Shakya, director of the IT Innovation Centre at Tribhuvan University chaired the event.
The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness in the media and entertainment sector and exchanging career opportunities with the students. The programme was supported and sponsored by team boom, logistic partners and more, the company said in a press statement.
Students from various colleges along with professors, lecturers and experts of various sectors from India and Canada attended the programme.
Addressing the programme, Ashok Kumar, AVXRG’s director, said that apart from agriculture and tourism, there is a lot of employment opportunity in the animation sector in Nepal.
Kumar said that AVXRG is planning to provide paid internships inside and outside Nepal and to make animation user-friendly at a nominal cost.
He said that AVXRG is planning to provide employment opportunities to 200 individuals in each province of Nepal. The company plans to set up one women's animation studio on March 8 to mark Women’s Day.
Shakya said that universities in Nepal should think about ways to create jobs for students rather than just focusing on how to teach students.
During the first session of the programme, N Sarathkumar, CEO of Precise Creative Studio Pvt Ltd in Banglore, India and V Hariharan, Director at Hybrid 360 Art Tech Pvt Ltd provided a presentation on “Emerging trends in VFX”.
The second session was followed by Vinod Toonz, an academic and training head at education services of Toonz Media Group, India where he gave a presentation on Live Demo on Animation filmmaking: Script to Screen process.
In the third session, Daniel Santos, special guest and director of Business Development Toon boom Animation, Canada presented his presentation on Digital 2D Animation using Toon Boom Harmony.
Likewise, in the fourth session, Mohit Soni, chief executive officer of the Media and Entertainment Skills Council in New Delhi, India gave a presentation on Various Opportunities by MESC for students of Nepal.
The last Virtual Session was followed by Chaitanya Chinchilkar, who made a presentation on Career Opportunities in Media and Entertainment.
