Yeti Distillery has launched 8848 Rye Vodka with a special limited-edition in the market that features the artwork of renowned artist Tsherin Sherpa. 

The new product will be available in selected stores from Friday. The 8848 Rye Vodka in a new black bottle showcasing Sherpa’s artwork is limited to 30,000 bottles, the company said on Thursday. 

“As we were thinking about the launch of our new product, we wanted to do something different and meaningful,” Abhishek Shrestha, managing director of Yeti Distillery, said in a briefing about collaborating with Sherpa. “We decided to showcase the Nepali artist to bring attention to the evolving fine arts scene of our country.” 

Sherpa is a contemporary and internationally acclaimed artist. He is the first Nepali artist to represent the country at the Venice Biennale, an international cultural exhibition hosted annually in Venice, Italy. 

“The 8848 Rye Vodka is a new product in the Nepali liquor industry. We are confident that the public will love the new taste,” said Shrestha. The standalone 8848 Rye Vodka will be launched soon, the company said.
