The 5-day exhibition will be spread across a display area of 300,000 sq m.Post Report
The 11th edition of EXCON, the largest construction equipment expo in South Asia, will be held on May 17 in Bengaluru, India, the organiser said on Wednesday.
The five-day event will showcase the latest machines and equipment related to the construction sector.
EXCON 2021 will feature a 5-day international exhibition spread across a display area of 300,000 sq m. According to the organiser, over 1,000 exhibitors from China, Finland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, UK and USA and other countries will be at the expo.
“EXCON is a huge opportunity for the Nepali business community,” said Shekhar Golchha, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), speaking during an event in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s event was jointly organised by the FNCCI, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN).
Due to the ongoing development activities in Nepal, the partnership in the machineries and equipment sector will help Nepal to create more jobs to spur the country’s economic growth, said Golchaa.
Golchha urged all investors, aspiring entrepreneurs, and businesses, especially in the construction and infrastructure to participate in the expo.
Rabi Singh, President Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN), said despite the surge in construction activities, the resources and investment are currently not adequate. “There is a need to boost the public-private partnership to attract foreign investment,” Singh said.
