The parliamentary Industry, Commerce and Consumer Welfare Committee has formed a five-member probe panel under lawmaker Subhash Chandra Thakuri to conduct a field study of Nepal Oil Corporation’s controversial land purchase deal.
The panel is scheduled to visit all four locations in Bhairahawa, Chitwan, Sarlahi and Jhapa districts and question locals, the chief district officer and people’s local representatives, among others. (PR)
