There’s a new KWID in town and it’s looking to make driving effortless. Renault is launching their all new KWID AMT for an introductory price of Rs26,96,500.

According to Advanced Automobiles, Renault’s authorised distributor in Nepal, the KWID AMT comes with pioneering advancements in technology and luxury.

The hatchback features Easy-R Technology—a pioneering 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT)—with a dash mounted AMT dial.

The dial is designed to make driving smooth and easy, with three modes —R for Reverse, N for Neutral and D for Drive.

Gear shifts are handled automatically by an advanced control unit optimising gear shifting according to driving conditions for smooth and regular acceleration, reads a press release.

The company boasts that the KWID AMT was specifically designed to ensure dynamic performance, robust strength and a taste for adventure.

There will be two variants of the KWID AMT; the Renault KWID AMT RXT O and Renault KWID AMT RXL. Both variants will be powered by a one litre engine with automatic transmission that produces 5500 RPM of maximum power and 91 Nm of peak torque at 4250 RPM. Renault claims an ARAI certified mileage of 24.04 km per litre.

Inside the KWID AMT, there are a plethora of features that makes it the best-equipped first-in-segment hatchback, according to the press release.

There is the aforementioned dash mounted AMT dial, a touch screen Media NAV with digital instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth, AUX and USB compatibility.

The hatchback has a seating capacity of five in a vehicle that has a well packaged cabin with good space, comfortable seats, lots of storage and a huge 300 litre boot space, reads a press release.

All of these in a body that has compact dimensions, with a length of 3679mm, width of 1579mm, height of 1478mm and a high ground clearance of 180mm.

The KWID AMT has a bold structured front grille, tone-tone glass grey ORVMS, C-shaped signature headlamps and black bumpers, according to the press release.

The hatchback also gets crawl feature that helps the car to move forward or backward slowly without using the accelerator.

A manual air conditioner, two power windows, central locking and audio system are also included in the KWID AMT, reads a press release.

Renault has been making cars since 1898 and they take safety very seriously, equipping the KWID AMT with driver side airbag, 5 seatbelts and crumple zones.

According to Advanced Automobiles, the KWID AMT is a perfect fit for middle class

working families and businessmen in Nepal as it is an affordable car that is effortless to drive.

The convenience of automatic transmission eliminates the need to use the clutch lever or change gears constantly on the KWID AMT.
