In an apparent murder, four members of the same family were found dead in Mandu of Chhayanath Rara Municipality-6 of Mugu on Friday.

According to the Mugu District Police Office, the bodies of a 28-year-old woman, her two sons and a daughter were found at their house.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa said the boys were 11-year-old and eight-month-old, while the girl was nine.

Police suspect they were murdered as blood stains have been spotted at the scene. The woman’s husband is in Qatar for employment.

Karnali Province Police Chief Bhim Prasad Dhakal said a police team led by DSP Thapa has reached the incident site for investigation.

He said the details of the incident are awaited. A police team from the provincial police office too has been dispatched to further investigate the incident.
