Police in Jumla impound tractor carrying large quantity of medicinal herbs

Police on Monday impounded a tractor carrying medicinal herbs in Jumla.
According to DSP Narendra Chand, Chief of the District Police Office, a police team deployed from Chotra Temporary Police Post in Guthichaur Rural Municipality during a security check found that a large quantity of Sunpati (also known as Dwarf rhododendron) was being transported in the tractor without proper paperwork.
The tractor was heading to Jumla district headquarters Khalanga from Dolpa district, police said.
Chand informed that the tractor and its driver have been sent to the Jumla-based Medicinal Herbs Division of the Forest Office for further investigation and action.
