Rockstart Impact—a 100 day, annual business support programme, introduced in 2014 by One to Watch—finalised the 10 Nepali companies to be accelerated, in its third iteration.
The companies will be mentored, trained, and exposed to both expertise and funding in the three-month long programme.
The finalised 10 companies specialise in an array of industries from installations of sustainable water systems to manufacturing of Gum Rosin and Turpentine Oil. The companies include Best Paani, Global Chemicals, Chainlink Engineering, EPAPD, Green Bamboo Creation, ICT for agriculture, Mush Nepal, National Organics, Nepal Thopa Sinchai, and Rammed Earth Solutions.
Nepal’s first accelerator programme, Rockstart Impact enrolls entrepreneurs who have a viable and scalable business and are looking for an investment of
100-500 euro. The final 10 companies were chosen from 197 applications of entrepreneurs across the country, who applied to the programme.
“Everything is set to take these impact entrepreneurs on yet another journey,” said Simon Mathijssen, programme director. He added, “For the third year in a row, we have found 10 entrepreneurs,who with their businesses have been making impact in the country.” The program is slated to begin on December 3.
