Shark Tank Nepal set to premiere on July 2
Five investors will listen to pitches from 100 entrepreneurs over 20 episodes.

The business reality show Shark Tank Nepal will premiere on July 2 and will be broadcast on Himalayan TV every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 pm.
The sharks (judges) panel for the first season are Hem Raj Dhakal, co-founder of IME Group; Cabinet Shrestha, founder of Agni Group; Ritu Singh Vaidya, director of Vaidya’s Organisation; Anand Bagaria, managing director of Nimbus Group; and Saurabh Jyoti, director of Jyoti Group. Distributed globally by Sony Pictures Television, Shark Tank Nepal marks the 54th international franchise.
Simos Sunuwar directs the show. Over 20 episodes, 100 entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses and entrepreneurial ideas, with five entrepreneurs featured in each episode. Filming has already been completed. It is reported that the Sharks are set to invest between Rs350 million and Rs400 million in promising businesses.
The programme is specifically designed for registered Nepali businesses that are already generating revenue and looking for investment to scale up. To be eligible for the show, the business must be legally registered in Nepal, the founders must be Nepali citizens, and the venture should have completed at least one full year of operation.
Applications are currently open, and interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply through the official platform. The selection process includes an initial screening based on the submitted application and reports. Those shortlisted will be called for interviews, and finalists will get to pitch their ideas on the show in front of the Sharks.
