Oscar College announces third Youth Short Film Competition

Oscar International College, one of Nepal’s oldest film colleges, has announced a call for entries for the third edition of its annual short film competition. Targeted at youths under 20 years of age, the competition will award Rs100,000 to the first-place winner, Rs50,000 to the second-place winner, and Rs25,000 to the third-place winner.
In addition to consolation prizes, the college has stated that if any winning filmmaker wishes to enrol, they will be offered a 50 percent scholarship.
The submitted short films must be a minimum of 8 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes long. The deadline for submission is Friday, August 22. The winning films will be announced and screened on August 29, followed by a prize distribution ceremony.
