Mach24 Orbitals represents Nepal at Startup Mahakumbh 2025
The private space-tech startup joined over 3,000 innovators in New Delhi.

Mach24 Orbitals, a private space-tech company from Nepal, participated in Startup Mahakumbh 2025, held from April 3 to 5 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event, one of the region’s major startup showcases, featured over 3,000 startups, 1,000 investors, delegations from over 50 countries, and over 50,000 business visitors.
The Mach24 Orbitals team, supported by Space Research Centre and NAST, displayed its scaled hybrid rocket demonstrator at the event, sharing insights into their recent technological milestones and emphasising regional collaboration's importance in developing accessible, cost-effective space launch solutions.
Mach24 Orbitals pavilion was visited by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Industry and Supply of India, other state ministers, officials from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), and the Ambassador of Nepal to India, Shankar Sharma. The startup’s core message revolved around making space accessible for emerging small satellite markets in the Asia-Pacific region and landlocked developing countries.
Founder and CEO of Mach24 Orbital, Mohan Tamang, said the event served as a space for knowledge sharing and regional connection. He stated that the startup aims to contribute to the global space economy through local innovation.
Mach24 Orbitals is working toward launching Nepal’s first private orbital-class rocket by 2029 and is seeking partnerships to support this initiative.
