Jiba Lamichhane’s new book, ‘Akshat Antarctica’, was launched in a programme held on Wednesday at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi. The book was unveiled by Lamichhane himself and journalist Basant Basnet.

The event also featured an in-depth conversation between Lamichhane and Basnet about the book. Basnet praised the book for presenting Antarctica’s beauty, research, and environmental message. Basnet also pointed out that this work showcases a different writing style compared to the author’s previous publications, highlighting new techniques that add depth to the book.

Lamichhane, who had already written 25,000 words during his Antarctica trip from January 13 to 24, 2024, shared how he planned and researched before finalising the book.

‘Akshat Antarctica’ is Lamichhane’s third book after ‘Sarsati Sansar’ and ‘Desh Deshawar’.
